"Behind the Scenes of the ADORAble team" is a new series to give our customers, new and old, an inside look into the people behind Adora. Located in our sunny California playroom, the Adora team works around the clock to bring creative, innovative & safe Adora dolls and toys to little ones all over the world. First we'd like to introduce you to Grace, one of our toy designers. Born and raised right here in Southern California, Grace knew from a young age she wanted to be a toy designer. From her initial sketches to photographing the final product, Grace is there each step of the way. Keep reading to learn a little more about Grace!

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do for Adora!
Hi I’m Grace! I work as a designer for our Adora Brand here at Charisma Brands. I went to college to study art and specifically studied Toy Design! I love drawing and kids, which were two big factors of why I chose this path. Being able to give joy to kids through the products we make is something that keeps me going.

Where do you find inspirations for your designs?
Honestly it’s hard to say exactly where I get my inspirations from because I get it everywhere! Some examples of how I find myself getting inspired is from traveling, a simple walk to the mall, and watching YouTube videos. I also love going on Pinterest to find my inspirations and to see the current trends.

We know it’s difficult.. but if you had to pick a favorite Adora toy you’ve designed, which would it be and why?

This really is a hard question because we have so many great products, but one of my favorites would have to be our Pretend Play Big Girl Purse Set! The purse set is one of my favorites because as a kid I’ve loved pretending to be an adult. Also, the fact that they come with so many components really encourages imaginative play for little kids.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
If I could have any superpower, hands down it would be to be able to fly! As a kid, having the power to be able fly just sounded really cool, but as an adult being able to stay out of traffic and being able to get to my destination with no restraints sounds amazing haha. Also, It gives me the freedom to travel to different cities and countries!

What’s 1 thing on your bucket list you still want to accomplish?
I would love to go solo traveling in a different country one day. I’ve recently traveled to Seattle alone, which was awesome, but something about exploring another country and learning their culture and language sounds very fascinating, especially when I’m doing it alone.
