After spending more time inside over the last year than ever before, it is no doubt that this Summer is full of outside play. After all, we all need some time in the sun to soak up some Vitamin D. Not only do we need sunshine, we also NEED sun protection! Too much time in the sun can be painful and dangerous which is why we've created a list of TIPS to help keep your little one's protected from the HEAT this Summer! 

5 tips to keep your little ones SAFE in the SUN! 

☀️ USE SUNSCREEN 

When choosing a sunscreen, broad spectrum, water resistant and at least SPF 30 are key features! Sunscreen should be applied 30 minutes before going into the sun and reapplied every 2 hours. Sun damage typically happens early in life, so keeping our little one's protected is important! 

☀️ FIND SHADE

Children have sensitive skin which can be early burned by the sun. It is best to stay out of the direct sun and find a shady spot to play. Your little ones can have full of fun under the shade with our Adora dolls & toys!

☀️ AVOID THE HOTTEST HOURS

The sun is the HOTTEST during midday hours! Limit sun exposure between the hours of 10 am to 4 pm. Luckily, Adora has got you covered on indoor and outdoor toys! 

☀️ STAY HYDRATED

Sunburn and dehydration are risks that come along with Summer play! Don't wait until you and your little one's feel thirsty to drink water! Drinking water frequently throughout plays an important role is staying safe is the heat.

Even with sunscreen on, children's sensitive skin is still at risk. Choose protective clothing and accessories this Summer season. Wearing a hat, sunglasses and sun-protective clothing will keep our little one's safe!
